Our nylon 4'x6' Air Force flags are constructed of tough, long-lasting SolarMax® nylon which offers the best resistance to damaging ultraviolet radiation allowing the flags color to last longer than traditional nylon flags. Our outdoor Air Force flags feature fray resistant stitching (4-stitch fly ends) that create durable seams that resist fraying better. Lightweight nylon material dries quickly and flies beautifully in even the slightest breeze. Our Air Force flags are finished with a heavy-weight canvas header and solid brass grommets.

The flag of the United States Air Force consists of the coat of arms, 13 white stars and the Air Force Seal, on a blue background. The 13 stars represent the 13 original colonies, the three star grouping at the top portray the three Departments of the National Defense Establishment (Army, Navy, and Air Force). The crest includes the American bald eagle, the cloud formation depicts the creation of a new firmament, and the wreath, composed of six alternate folds of silver and blue, incorporate the colors of the basic shield design.

The flag is always carried with streamers commemorating the air force’s battles and campaigns, starting with the Mexican Expedition in 1916-1917. The Air Force was a part of the army until 1947 and its battle streamers from that period are also flown with the U.S. Army flag.
