Our 5'x8' Iowa State flags are constructed of tough, long-lasting nylon which offers the best resistance to damaging ultraviolet radiation allowing the flags color to last longer than traditional nylon flags.  Our outdoor Iowa flags feature fray resistant stitching (4-stitch fly ends) that create durable seams that resist fraying better. Lightweight nylon material dries quickly and flies beautifully in even the slightest breeze. These Iowa flags are finished with a heavy-weight canvas header and solid brass grommets.

More information on the Iowa State flag

The state flag of Iowa consists of three vertical stripes (blue, white and red) with a bald eagle in the center; the eagle is holding a ribbon in its mouth that says, “Our liberties we prize and our rights we will maintain.” The word “Iowa” lies below the eagle in red capital letters. Designed in 1917 by Knoxville’s Dixie Cornell Gebhardt, the flag was not adopted until 1921. She was a member of the Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
